About the Editor Lana Ululani

Aloha kakou. ‘O Lana Ululani  ko’u inoa. (I love my inoa kupuna :))

First I do not claim to speak for all Hawaiians. Secondly I do not purport to speak for all Hawaiians. Instead each and every Hawaiian has their own voice.

I have owned this domain (www.JusticeForHawaiians.com) and www.JusticeForHawaiians.org since 2005.

Who am I? I am loved by my kūpuna.

I am a graduate of the Kamehameha Schools where I was on full financial aid. I am forever indebted to Ke Ali’i Bernice Pauahi Bishop for her kindness and generosity to Hawaiian children. If it was not for her and people like her, I would never have been able to attend and subsequently graduate from college.  I am a graduate of the University of Washington. Thank you to Bernice Pauahi Bishop 🙂

Professionally I am one of few Hawaiians who are real estate brokers. I am a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida and a licensed managing broker in the State of Washington. They are equivalent 🙂 I own my own real estate firm,  am CEO/President, and  I am proud to be HAWAIIAN ! 🙂

I have adopted some dogs and cats from the SPCA and the Human Society. Here is one of my dogs, Bambam, who I adopted from the local SPCA:

A bit about me:

Both of my parents are ʻōiwi:

On my paternal side my ʻōiwi  roots are from Paia, Hana, and Kaupo, Maui.

On my maternal side my ʻōiwi  roots are from Ho’okena, South Kealia, Miloli’i, Hilo and Keaukaha from Moku o Keawe:

I am a great granddaughter of Rachel Lokinihama Among who signed the Ku’e Anti-Annexation Petition by proxy when she was 20 years old. (See #24.) 🙂

I am also a grandchild of Augusto Dias, one of three Portuguese men credited with the invention of the ukulele. He is the only one of the three men with documentation proving that he helped to invent the ukulele which is amazing. He was inducted to the Ukulele Hall of Fame in 2003 🙂 His great great granddaughter is my maternal great grandmother, Luisa Dias deSilva, who married my maternal great grandfather, Ernesto deSilva. My maternal grandfather is Charles Raymond DeSilva who is the third man in the back row:

I have vehemently opposed the Akaka Bill since at least 2000. The Akaka Bill is being used by politrickans who want to use government to strip Hawaiians of their property rights. When they do it to us… they will do it to YOU too!

P.S. Please refrain from RACIST comments, harassing ones, and/or ones that single out and target Hawaiians based on their national origin (i.e. Ko Hawai’i Pae Aina.)

If you would like to contact me feel free to send email to me at HeHawaiiAu at gmail dot com. I may or may not respond 🙂
