Stop the Akaka Bill

There are many qualified candidates in the 2012 elections for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. It’s challenging to pick just ONE for a seat. Some people have asked me who they should vote for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

The list of candidates can be seen here: http://hawaii.gov/elections/candidates/reports/2012/general-candidates-certified_2012-09-14.pdf

These are my choices for OHA based on three main factors:

1. They are for less government intervention… not more.

2. They are for the betterment of ALL Hawaiians not just for a chosen few.

3. They are genuinely kind to Hawaiians.

My father and I were talking about we want Walter Ritte AND Keali’i Makekau in there. It was very hard to choose ONE! My apologies to Walter Ritte  who I highly highly respect. I appreciate ALL of the hard work that he has done for all of the people of Hawai’i and ALL of the hard work that he continues to do.

These are my choices:

Kaua’i – Dan Ahuna

Moloka’i – NO vote for Colette Machado who wants MORE government intervention. We Hawaiians need LESS government intervention… not more! Leave her box BLANK as a protest vote.

At Large – KEALI’I MAKEKAU who is one of few people who mentions an accounting of ALL funds of OHA. We NEED an accounting of ALL funds from OHA.

Maui – Keeaumoku Kapu

Please vote for these candidates for OHA. Mahalo :)
