Obama Presidential Library in Hawai’i: Let Chicago Have It.

Obama Presidential Library in Hawai’i: Let Chicago Have It

Obama and his fans have been pushing for the Obama presidential library to be built in Hawai’i with little to no concern of the effects his presence and the presence of his presidential library have on local children (both Hawaiian and non-Hawaiian) in Hawai’i. That is, it will wreak havoc on  demand thus further shut local children out of the home buying market.

Two recent stories in the Star Advertiser show their fervent push to have it built in Hawai’i:

1. A select group of individuals focusing on how they and Obama will benefit from the Obama presidential library built in Hawai’i:

and 2. Supporters mentioning how it will benefit adults though fail to mention how increasing demand for housing will be exacerbated by Obama’s presence in Hawai’i as well as the presence of his presidential library:

You will have to pay for access to read these two articles but both beat the same drum of benefiting Obama and his legacy and fail to mention how his presidential library in Hawai’i will wreak havoc on the lives of local children.

How you may ask.

I am a real estate broker in Florida and Washington, own my real estate firms, and know how supply and demand works. In Hawai’i it is unique where demand is very high and already shutting out local children from the home buying market.

Obama’s presence and the presence of his presidential library will only exacerbate it to the detriment of local children in Hawai’i who will be further shut out of the home buying market.

Let Obama’s hometown of Chicago have it. That way local children in Hawai’i won’t suffer.
